Last M.A.M.E standing part 1: Almigo has a plan

Yes I've decided to embark on my most ambitious project to date (well aside from changing a rocker cover gasket on a WRX, on a scale of ...

The Fiverr experiment

Curious to see if a small investment in advertising could net me far more (read: millions, nay billions!) in returns, I decided to take up an offer on Fiver.

Could just $8 (after conversions and fees) really skyrocket my second hand car loving website Driveanotherday.com into the stratosphere?
There was 15 million possible reasons saying maybe..

Cheering on the magic disk

My wife came to me a couple of days ago with a phone problem - the battery on her Samsung Galaxy S5 was holding as much charge as a dead Rhino and if I had a sec could I see if I could fix it.
So I leapt at the challenge, failed miserably and eventually bought a bit of tech to do the job for me.

Enter: The Magic disk.

No wait, my disk has nothing to do with this dog...

My son the town planner

Well it was only a matter of time - after watching Dad drift around corners and most of the time not take out any barriers, save the princess from the Orcs of Orcdale and grab the power up to win the game, my little bloke has started to develop a keen interest in the occasional video game.

Almigo's house of meat and stuff.

Last night I had a truly amazing meal on the Gold Coast Waterfront at a delicious seafood eatery. The beer was crisp, the garlic prawns to the die for, the steak looked a little different to what I was used to but was still tasty and dessert was decidedly decadent.

Excuse me, what is this?

My only niggle? Given that I don't spend much time doing super fine dining (last night's effort was because I won a voucher, this blog really hasn't generated enough revenue to purchase some small fries so far) I struggled to understand roughly some of what was going on...

Oh spaghetti bolognese, you beautiful bastard

Now you'd think that by now, 19 years since it became the first thing I ever learnt to cook (I'm not counting sausages here because it required very little effort) that I'd be sick of Spaghetti Bolognese - but you'd be wrong.

The inspiration for tonight's post

I freakin love spaghetti bolognese. And I'll happily eat it twice a month until the day I die...
